Friction segments brake lining acts as a thin coating of material in the inner surface of a brake shoe or brake pad that is used to increase friction when the brake is applied. Those with friction in order to improve the amount of friction that is generated, this offering is made up of a number of segments that are intended to create a bigger contact area with the braking drum or rotor. Frictional segments brake lining is also made to accommodate the material's expansion and contraction as it heats up and cools down in order to prevent early wear.
